We decided to fix that by using short-wave infrared (SWIR) halogen tech. Now, that wait is down to a few seconds. How the heat actually works Most heaters just warm up the air, which is slow. Our quartz halogen tubes are different. They send radiation straight into the dough. It’s almost instant. You flip the switch, and the filament is at full blast in milliseconds. No more standing around waiting for a light to turn green before you can start baking. The gear and getting it set up We use high-purity quartz because these tubes go through a lot of thermal stress when they heat up and cool down that fast. If you’re worried about the installation, don’t be. Most of our industrial units use R7s or Sk15 connectors. They’re standard, so you can just drop them in and wire them up without having to rip apart your entire oven housing. And if you’re picky about your crust (and let’s face it, who isn’t?), we have coated tubes. They tweak how the heat hits the bread, so you don’t end up with a burnt exterior while the middle is still raw. A few things to keep in mind Here is the catch: these tubes pack a massive punch in a tiny space. Because they’re so powerful, they put a lot of stress on your power supply. Double-check that your wiring and controllers can handle the current, or you’ll end up frying your relays. Also, if you’re stuffing these into a tight spot, make sure your ventilation is solid. You don’t want the surrounding electronics soaking up all that leftover heat.
