
Making PET Heater Modules That Actually Fit Your Machine
If you’ve run a PET blowing plant, you know the headache. You need new infrared lamps, but every brand seems to have its own weird voltage, a different length, or some proprietary connector that makes you want to pull your hair out. It’s a mess. We got tired of that. So, we built our heater modules to be simple drop-in replacements. We focused on the actual physics of the heat and used standard electrical parts so they just work. For about 95% of the gear out there, you can just swap them in and get back to work.
Getting the Voltage Right
We make tubes in everything from 230V to 400V. Here’s the deal with the 400V ones: they let you pack more heat into a smaller space. That’s a lifesaver for those high-speed lines where every inch of room counts but you still need a ton of heat density. But be careful. If you plug a 230V lamp into a 400V circuit, it’s gone. Poof. Instant burnout. That’s why we spec our filaments to handle these specific loads—we want them to last, not just burn bright for a week.
The Secret is in the Coating
We use halogen-filled quartz tubes with a special coating. Why? Because you want the heat to soak into the PET wall, not just scorch the outside. And we didn’t reinvent the wheel with the connectors. We stick to the basics like R7s and Sk15. They’re the bread and butter of the industry for a reason. Since we use these standard bases, you don’t have to spend your weekend rewiring the oven or hacking away at your lamp holders just to switch brands.
Real Talk: Maintenance and Heat
These modules pump out a massive amount of heat to keep your cycle times fast. But there’s a trade-off. If you crank up the wattage to push more bottles through, your cooling fans are going to feel it. If your vents are clogged or your fans are weak, that ambient heat will eat your lamp’s electrodes for breakfast. One more thing.Keep your reflectors clean. Seriously. A layer of grime on a reflector kills your efficiency way faster than a worn-out filament ever will. Give them a wipe, and your lamps will thank you.
