This is a short-wave infrared halogen emitter, designed to match the HyPET heating tunnel geometry. Quartz envelope, tungsten filament—tuned for fast, repeatable heat-up and tight temperature control. It’s engineered to the OEM footprint, right down to the R7s connector and overall length, so it drops straight into the existing lamp holder without touching the reflector or wiring harness. Wattage and voltage match the HyPET spec, so the control system sees the same load it expects. The spectral output is chosen to get through the preform wall efficiently, so stretch blow molding gets consistent biaxial stretching.

On a Husky HyPET, the heat-up has to keep up with high-cavity indexing, and the stability has to hold across long runs. Check voltage and connector before you order, and make sure the reflector is clean and aligned—dirt on the reflector will steal output no matter what lamp you run. Handle the quartz with gloves to avoid contamination, and run a short warm-up ramp to protect the filament. You’ll get the best life when heating zone setpoints stay stable and the preform dryer keeps material consistent and dry.
