We build our lamps for high-voltage, high-wattage density—whether you’re on a 230V or 400V system. We also use heavy-wall quartz glass. Why? Because rapid heating and cooling is brutal on materials. Just a heads-up: if you’re using a 400V tube, you’re pumping out a massive amount of heat. Make sure your cooling fans are actually up to the task, or things will get too hot around the housing. What’s actually inside the glass We use halogen gas to keep the filament stable. It simply lasts longer. But here is the real trick: we use a specialized coating that shifts the infrared spectrum. Instead of just scorching the outside of the PET preform, the heat actually sinks into the wall. You get a better melt without the surface damage. As for the fit?
